Well, what a week...it started on Monday with an oral exam for my Art Therapy Diploma - I'm happy to say I passed with flying colours. Now I just need to do my placement and a couple of assignments before I graduate...I am slowly getting there. I caught up with these 3 lovelies who are on the same Art Therapy journey as me. They were hiking in the Dandenongs near my home, so I met up with them in the afternoon. None of them had visited the mountains before, but I love to go here often - it is one of my favourite places to visit. I decided to show them my very favourite shop in Sassafras, called 'The Oracle'. Well, they were as smitten as me, and we had a lovely afternoon browsing amongst all the treasures.
Last year was such an amazing year, going back to school after so many years...I absolutely loved it, even though it was very intense, and a whole new experience for me. I made some wonderful like-minded friends. I am still processing much of what I learned. The past couple of months I have just really enjoyed being there for my girls, and taking the time to play and create, and just be. The course has reinvigorated me, and 'woken' me up...I am feeling very creative as a result, which is part of the reason I decided to start my own blog. Hell, I'm not even sure if anyone really reads it, but somehow it inspires me to be creative, and that's a good thing...
I am looking at the world through a new, brighter, shinier lens, and am really enjoying delighting in the little things...I took some pictures around my home this week, things that inspire me, and make me happy...
In my kitchen...
My bathroom...
My Boudoir....
The Entrance...
I love these blues together...
A Loungeroom Nook...
On my Coffee Table...always books, books, books...
....and inspiring me most of all this week - a Peacock chair I found at the little Antique shop down my street...I love this chair...channelling my inner boho.
i soooooo love reading your blog-you have fantastic things to say and show us..singing and skipping...jo
ReplyDeleteOhh but I love love love the oracle, what an amazing shop, so many special bits, I live in the middle of no where with no shops so I forgot there was so many pretty things out there to own. I love your bathroom so much, i cannot wait for my little fidling fingers child to stop playing with everything in her reach, one day my house will regain its composure, right now its just a whilwind of things always in odd places.
ReplyDeleteI used to have the lady of shalot picture when i was 20, i was obsessed with it, I used to stare at it and play my guitar and write songs of the lady of the lake. such a beautiful story to it. and the peacock chair is magnificent, you look as proud as a peacock sitting in it!!! well done on your art therapy, its such an amazing thing to major in, sounds very interesting, do you find yourself disecting peoples art, reading their personalities and pain from their pictures, I dont think I would be able to stop myself!!!
and Im reading, when I can get here
keep it up!!!
get into some sort of give away and the people will flock to you, before I did owoh I had 5 followers and felt like I was talking to the empty corners of cyber space!
