Well, after some much needed R & R, we are back from the beach house...the weather was pretty good, and we managed to get in quite a few swims in the ocean.
We had lots of friends come and stay with us...even Pip had some friends of the furry variety - she was quickly worn out! (Here she is above catching a dog nap on New Years Eve - and this was before the festivities even began!)
But I must say, it's always so nice to come home and see my garden again...we have had some really hot weather, but this week there will be quite a few showers - very tropical, really - there's nothing quite like strolling through the garden - I especially love walking beneath the trees when they are moist from the rain...magical.
There's something about this time of the year that inspires me and makes me enthusiastic for the year ahead...I hope to continue creating my art and hopefully posting here regularly. I have not made any new year resolutions, but hope to continue on my journey of self-discovery and just being the best me I can possibly be..and remembering to keep living in the moment - being mindful, and oh so thankful for all that I have.
I look forward to visiting you all over the next week or so to see what you have been up to...I have missed you x
It's always nice to pay a visit to some blogs down under at this time of year - thanks for sharing a pocket full of sunshine!

ReplyDeleteWelcome home, Tina! And a very Happy New Year to you, my far away friend! I so envy your getaway to the ocean ... for that is one place my heart and soul find the utmost peace. The sound of rolling and crashing waves nearly steals my breath and yet, calms my very being. Quite a magical and healing experience to be lulled by such a natural force. :))
