I love a sunburnt country,
A land of sweeping plains,
Of ragged mountain ranges,
Of droughts and flooding rains,
I love her far horizons,
I love her jewel-sea,
Her beauty and her terror,
The wide brown land for me...Dorothea McKellar
Today we celebrate Australia Day...I shall throw some lamb chops on the barbeque and enjoy some lamingtons. I truly am blessed to live in such an amazingly beautiful country.

Happy Australia Day to you!! I hope one day I will be able to visit....
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the Australia Day wishes everyone...we ended up having family and friends over for a bbq with yummy lamb chops marinated in lemon juice and olive oil, accompanied by homemade coleslaw and Greek salad with quinoa - yummo - and too much wine, hee hee...oh, and Moondiva, so nice of you to pop in - I have to tell you, I cheated and bought my lamingtons, but they are fairly easy to make - just google the recipe because I haven't made them before x
ReplyDeleteI come here via Victoria's blog. She featured some beautiful things you sent her. Wow! You are talented.
ReplyDeleteI once had lamingtons in NZ. They are so luscious!
