Funny Little Art Doll

Just popping in quickly to show you the little art doll inspired by Mirka Mora...

And to share this for I am struggling with some stuff at the moment...I really need a vacation from my head sometimes!

They sparkle and shine when the sun is out,
but when the darkness sets in their true beauty is revealed
only if there is light from within" - Elisabeth Kubler Ross

  4. This is a very cute art doll but I am afraid to say that I couldn't help but be reminded of a childhood TV entertainer. Go google image search Bernie Clifton and you'll see what I mean! He's still around... popped up on TV only the other night. Such fun.... such memories...

Now we've done away with the comedy (but I hope it made you smile anyway), let's move to the serious topic.

Take some time out to look after you. I think we mother's rarely get the opportunity to keep tabs on ourselves and speaking from experience I know what happens when we sweep all this stuff under the carpet and hope it goes away.

Go chill out and sort out what you need my friend. And if that doesn't work, I am sure you can find some Bernie Clifton on YouTube

  8. Dearest Tina,
Your doll turned out fantastically! Most whimsical indeed!

The verse written by Elisabeth Kubler Ross is one of my favorites, for it so beautifully speaks the truth. You are not alone in the world when it comes to struggles of the heart and mind. It seems we are forever tested in this life, are we not? Rest assured, these moments shall pass. Breathe ... enjoy the beauty surrounding you. Remind yourself, that often times, we worry ourselves too much over that of which we have no control and things that are of little significance, when one looks at the greater picture. Love of family, yourself, and faith take precedence. I know it easier said than done, but believe me, I had had years to practice what I pass on. You can relieve a huge burden on yourself by letting go of the small stuff and holding onto only that which is priceless ...

Wishing you much strength and peace, my friend. May your heart and soul be light.

  11. Hi Tina,
My computer has been on the fritz so I have not been able to leave a comment on your blog until now. I love your doll as I love all your art work. You have such a sweet endearing quality that comes through your work. As far as a vacation from your head... I understand! Just be gentle with your self. Let your "parent" part of your self screen the chatter from your "critical" self and know that this is all part of being human. All aspects of your self are precious and so important. Sending you lots of faerie light and love,
    Tricia

  12. **squeals** What a delightful creation!!! Love love! Ah yes, the vacation from the mind...I know that one well. Not quiet as serious as a Dark Night of the Soul, but to be respected equally. My beloved friend (who left this world much too soon) used to tell me, it's just mood or an off day. Don't give it too much importance. You'll feel better in the morning. **happy smiles** Deb
