Chicken Soup for the Soul...

Wow, thankyou for all your well wishes on my last post...it's always difficult to know how much to share here, but I really was feeling quite down, and yep, of course I ended up getting sick! The past couple of days have been spent snuggled up on my couch, feeling sorry for myself...but today, the sun is shining, and the day beckoned me outside to play dress-ups in the garden.
I have to tell you, I LOVE these boots...they are pretty wild, I know, but they make me smile. When I bought them my dad said "You're seriously not going to wear them out, are you?" Hilarious! I thought they looked extra wild with my tutu! (No, I don't have a fever anymore, I've always been slightly mad!)

I haven't visited the fairy tree for quite some time...gosh, it's quite overgrown down this part of the garden...

I spoilt myself for lunch with my homemade chicken soup, and this bread that I made too - seriously good!
Sweet little handsewn paper bird I made hiding amongst the windflowers...
A closer look...
And finally, we spent a lovely day on Sunday at my friend's place sitting by a bonfire, eating sausages in bread, patting their horses and riding motorbikes...just look at the sky in the afternoon...bliss.

  1. Such a beautiful Post and I'm so glad you're feeling better. Now I'm Jonesin' for home-made Chicken Soup and Fresh Baked Bread... at almost Midnight no less! *LOL*

Thanks for stopping by my Moon To Moon Post... I know, there are times I can't believe I sold that Peacock chair either, especially since I carted it around during the most nomadic Gypsy period of my life for over 30 years... it was one of the few pieces I was attached to during my 'detachment from material things' phase of Life! *winks* I recall being able to load every worldly possession into a small car and moving from place to place effortlessly! Now I have so much crap... ummmm, I mean fabulous heirloom Found Treasures, that it would take a convoy of 1-800-You've-Got-Junk Trucks to relocate it... like a scene from HOARDERS! *smiles* Good Lord you end up accumulating more baggage the older you get... in more ways than one! *winks*

LOVE those boots, I'd totally wear them out... only my Family wouldn't be at all surprised... because that's my 'normal'... he he he... Dawn... The Bohemian

  2. Oh Tina,
My dear Mad Friend. I just love you to death. Those Boooots. I would wear them all the time. I love, love, love them. And your wonderful attire for the days event was just absolutely wonderfully delightful for the occasion. The soup looked so scrumdiliuptious, and the fairy tree is beautiful.
I hope your days are filled with more rainbows. I know the hurricanes can be horrific sometimes, but to know beauty and the beast, calm and wild, and Sane and Crazy all kind of innertwine sometime, and we of course cannot have one without the other. You have a strong soul and a wild spirit. I know if you hold on strong enough, you can tame those wild winds.
I am so glad to see you are feeling better and out and running through the enchanted woods again.
